Dr. Shawania Marshall

Hello. My name is Dr. Shawania Marshall. I am a native of Barbour County, Alabama, and I am a proud graduate of Louisville High School, class of 1996. I obtained a Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism/ Sports Information with a minor in Criminal Justice from Troy University, a Master’s in Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Phoenix, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from Purdue University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Capella University, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. Lastly, I possess a DEI Certificate from the University of Georgia.
I have served as an Educator for twenty years. I am a certified Professional Educator in Secondary English Language Arts in Alabama, Tennessee, & Texas. I hold a Gifted ELA Certificate in the state of Georgia, with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

My past experiences in education have driven me to establish my own educational consultant company that will provide prestigious equitable educational services. I have always had a deep desire to help our youth excel. Although my services are available to anyone, my primary goal is to provide exemplar professional development supports and trainings to school district personnel, in order to ensure that students from marginalized and underprivileged communities reap the benefits of achieving academic achievement. In addition, my goal is provide additional reasonable, pragmatic, and realistic strategies and tips for students and their families to implement at home and school in order to bridge the gaps in education, especially in the area of English Language Arts.
My goal is to also equip and assist novice and veteran teachers, who wish to make an impact in the field of education. My services also extend in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professional development trainings for school districts and organizations. Lastly, I offer Dissertation Services for college students. I am extremely humbled and excited about utilizing my expertise to help others by using effective strategies and techniques in an affordable and feasible manner.

As a twenty-year Educator, I am committed to making a significant positive impact in the field of education. Because of my deep passion and commitment to education, I was honored as the "2024 Doctor Of Excellence," by Black Leaders Worldwide. I was nominated as the 2008-2009, Barbour County High School Teacher of the Year in year six. Within the first six years of teaching, I helped 70% or more of my tenth grade students pass the Alabama High School Graduation Exam in Reading and in Language Arts. Within the first six years of teaching, I also helped 80% or more of 10th grade student master and pass the Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing.
After serving as an Instructional Leader, Student Support Team Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, Teacher, Department Chair, and District Leader, I have helped countless novice and veteran teachers improve their instructional practices and classroom management practices.
Currently, as a Doctor of Philosophy Scholar in Public Policy and Administration, I am also an experienced Qualitative Researcher, who has conducted extensive research in the area of diversity, equity, inclusion, and Black Female Educational Leaders, which was the focus of my published dissertation. I am also a National OSHA Certified Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Trainer.
